My Manga Emporium is a free app from The Mage's Emporium for keeping track of your manga and light novel collection. Add the books you own, see which volumes you're missing, track what you've read, and see which missing volumes we have in stock right now.

It works on any phone, tablet or computer, even with no signal. Nothing to download from an app store, and it's free.
1. Put it on your phone
This gives the app its own icon, like any other app.
- iPhone: open the link in Safari, tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), then Add to Home Screen.
- Android: open the link in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu, then Add to Home screen (or Install app).
After that, always open it from the new icon.
2. Log in (so your shelf is never lost)
Logging in saves your shelf to your Mage's Emporium account, so it's safe if you change phones and it shows up on every device you log in on.
- Tap Log in at the top of the app.
- Tap Log in or create an account.
- Enter the email you use when you order from us. If you've never ordered, any email works and an account is made for you.
- Check your email for a 6-digit code and type it in. There's no password to remember.
- You're back in the app with your name at the top. That's it!
Your shelf now saves on its own a few seconds after every change.
Already sent us your collection on the old My Collection page? It's already in your account. Just log in with the same email and your books will be waiting.
Bought manga from us? Those books add themselves to your shelf when you log in.
Had books in the app before you logged in? The app asks whether to combine them with your account's shelf. Choose Combine both and nothing is lost.
To log out or check your account, tap your name at the top. That's also where you can tick Email me to hear about new arrivals, restocks and sales.
3. Add your books
One at a time: tap the + button. You can scan the barcode on the back of the book, search for the series, or type it in.
Inside a series: tap a series to open it, then tap volume numbers to mark them. The buttons at the top choose what a tap does: Own, Read, Want (wishlist), Sell, Loan or Note. With none of them selected, tapping a volume opens everything about it so you can edit any detail or leave a review.
Lots of books at once: tap your name (or Log in) at the top, then scroll to Back up or bring in a collection. There's also a link at the bottom of your shelf.
- Paste a list, one series per line, like Fruits Basket, 1-12 or Spy x Family Vol 3, then tap Add to my shelf.
- Import a file: a backup from this app, or a .csv or .txt list from another app or spreadsheet.
Importing only adds books. It never removes anything from your shelf.
Too many to type? Send us photos. Tap your name, scroll to Send us photos instead, and email us pictures of your shelves with the spines showing. We add the books for you by hand, so it can take a few days, and we'll email you when your shelf is ready. Log in first so we know which account to fill.
4. At the bookstore: "Do I own it?"
Tap 📷 Scan a book at the top of your shelf and point your camera at the barcode. You'll instantly see if you already own it, if it's the next one you need, if it fills a gap, or if it's a new series. Add it to your shelf or wishlist with one tap, then scan the next one. It works offline too.
5. Back up your shelf
If you're logged in, your shelf is already saved to your account. A backup file is extra peace of mind, and it's the only copy if you use the app without logging in.
- Tap your name (or Log in) at the top.
- Under Back up or bring in a collection, tap Save backup file (or Copy my backup to paste it somewhere like a note or email to yourself).
- To restore it later, use Import a file in the same place.
Using the app without logging in? Your shelf lives only in that phone's browser. Clearing your browser data or switching phones will erase it, so back up now and then (or just log in).
6. Shopping, friends and the fun stuff
- Finds: volumes you're missing that we have in stock right now. Tap 🛒 Add to put them in your cart, then tap the cart at the top to check out on our shop.
- Wishlist: mark volumes you want, or add all your missing volumes at once. When a wishlist book comes back in stock, the app tells you. For restock emails, open the book on our shop and tap Add to Wishlist there.
- Friends: on the Lists tab, tap 👯 Friends and send your shelf to a friend. Once they send theirs, you'll see what you could borrow or lend, gift ideas from their wishlist, and what you both collect.
- Lists: your wishlist, the books you want to sell, and books you've lent out or borrowed.
- Reading: log what you read each day, set a yearly goal and open your Year in Review.
- Reviews: rate a whole series on its page, or tap a single volume to review just that one.
- Achievements: earn badges as your collection grows. Tap the emoji row to see them all. Some are secret!
- Share your shelf: on the Stats tab, tap Share for a picture of your collection made for Instagram stories. Tap Share to post it or Save image to keep it.
- Views: on your shelf, use the View menu to switch between Bookshelf (covers on shelves), Full cards and a Compact list.
Questions
I don't see my books on a new phone. Make sure you're logged in with the same email (your name shows at the top). Then tap your name and Sync now.
The app looks out of date. Close it completely and open it again.
No signal? Everything keeps working and saves on your phone. It syncs to your account when you're back online.
On iPhone, my shelf is different in Safari and on the Home Screen icon. They're kept separately until you log in. Log in on both and they'll match.
Who can see my shelf? Only you and The Mage's Emporium. We use it to avoid sending you books you already own (for example in mystery boxes) and to give out collector titles. Your shelf is never shared with anyone else unless you send it to a friend yourself.
