My Manga Emporium is a free app from The Mage's Emporium for tracking your manga and light novel collection. Here's what it keeps, who can see it, and your choices. Last updated November 3, 2026.
What the app stores
- Your shelf: the books you own, want, are selling or lending, read dates, reviews, notes, achievements and friend list.
- If you don't log in, all of this stays in your browser on that device only.
- If you log in, it's also saved to your Mage's Emporium store account (Shopify), so it follows you to other devices. Books you buy from our shop are added from your order history.
Who can see it
- You.
- The Mage's Emporium, so we can avoid sending you books you already own (for example in mystery boxes), process collection photos you send us, and work out collector titles. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- Friends you approve. Live sharing is private by default: only people you approve can see your shelf, and you can revoke anyone, or stop sharing completely, at any time. A shelf you send as a link or file is a copy the friend keeps.
Services we use
- Shopify: store accounts, login, orders and checkout.
- Cloudflare: runs live friend sharing (stores shared shelves and friend lists; friend-request emails are stored only as scrambled codes).
- GitHub Pages: hosts the app.
- GoatCounter: counts visits anonymously. No cookies, no personal data, no tracking across sites.
- Open Library and Google Books: some book covers and barcode lookups come from them, which means your device asks them for a book title or ISBN.
Emails
We only send you marketing emails if you tick Email me in the app (or sign up on our shop). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can untick the box anytime.
Your choices
- Delete your app data: tap your name, then Delete my app data. It erases your shelf from your store account and removes you from all friend sharing. (It doesn't delete your store account or orders. Email us for that.)
- Back up your shelf anytime, or ask us for a copy of everything we have.

Ages 13 and up
My Manga Emporium is for ages 13 and up. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has used the app, email us and we'll delete their data.
Early access
The app is free and still being improved, so features may change and there may be bugs. It's provided as-is, without guarantees. Please back up your shelf now and then, and tell us about anything that doesn't work.
